1. Introduction
Welcome to the Indian National Aerospace & CanSat Challenge ("INACC", "Challenge", "Competition", "Program"). The Challenge is organized by Young Edsplorer Pvt. Ltd. and its mentors, sponsors, and educational collaborators (collectively referred to as the "Organizers", "we", "us", or "our").
By registering for, participating in, attending, or accessing any part of the Challenge, participants, schools, parents/guardians, mentors, and associated representatives agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, you must not register for or participate in the Challenge.
2. Eligibility
- School Category: Participants must be enrolled in a recognized educational institution.
- Individual Participants: Students may register individually where permitted under the specific category guidelines.
- Team Participation: Teams must consist of the number of members specified in the official Challenge guidelines.
- Team composition cannot be changed after the registration deadline without written approval from the Organizers.
- Each team must nominate one Team Leader as the primary point of contact.
- Age Requirements: Participants must fall within the age or grade categories announced for the respective edition of the Challenge.
- For participants under 18 years of age, registration and participation shall be deemed to have parental or guardian consent.
3. Registration
- Participation is subject to successful registration and payment of applicable fees.
- The Organizers reserve the right to accept or reject any registration.
- The Organizers may request additional information or verification.
- Registrations containing inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information may be disqualified.
- Registration is considered complete only after submission of all required details, payment confirmation, and receipt of official registration acknowledgment.
4. Competition Structure
The Challenge may include multiple stages, including but not limited to:
- Preliminary Round
- Qualifying Assessments
- Design Submission
- Prototype Development
- CanSat Build and Testing
- Aerospace Innovation Challenge
- National Finals
- Launch Demonstrations
- Presentations and Evaluations
The Organizers reserve the right to modify, add, remove, postpone, or restructure any stage of the competition if necessary.
5. Fees and Payments
Registration fees, participation fees, workshop fees, and other charges are published on official INACC communication channels.
Payment Terms
- All fees must be paid before the applicable deadline.
- Payments are non-transferable.
- Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of participation.
Refund Policy
- Registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
- No refunds shall be provided for participant withdrawal, absenteeism, travel restrictions, examination schedules, personal circumstances, or disqualification.
- Refunds approved under exceptional circumstances shall be solely at the discretion of the Organizers.
6. Participant Conduct
- Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.
- Follow all instructions issued by Organizers, judges, mentors, and venue authorities.
- Maintain academic and ethical integrity.
- Avoid disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior.
The Organizers reserve the right to remove or disqualify any participant or team for misconduct without refund.
7. Academic Integrity and Fair Competition
Participants must ensure that all submitted work is:
- Original
- Developed by the registered participant/team
- Free from plagiarism
- Compliant with applicable intellectual property laws
The following are prohibited:
- Copying another team's work
- Unauthorized use of third-party designs
- Submission of fabricated data
- Misrepresentation of project development
Violation may result in immediate disqualification.
8. CanSat and Aerospace Safety Requirements
Participants must comply with all safety protocols communicated by the Organizers.
Prohibited Materials
- Explosives
- Hazardous chemicals
- Unauthorized fuels
- Radioactive materials
- Weapons
- Dangerous pressure systems
- Illegal electronic equipment
- Any material prohibited under Indian law
The Organizers reserve the right to inspect, reject, modify, or prohibit any component deemed unsafe. Safety decisions of the Organizers shall be final and binding.
9. Travel and Accommodation
- Participants must comply with all travel instructions.
- Participants are responsible for maintaining valid identification documents.
- The Organizers are not responsible for missed transportation due to participant negligence.
- Parents and schools remain responsible for ensuring participant readiness for travel.
10. Health and Medical Responsibility
Participants are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions that may impact participation. The Organizers may seek emergency medical treatment where reasonably necessary. Any associated medical expenses shall be borne by the participant, parent/guardian, or school.
11. Photography, Videography and Media Consent
By participating, participants and their schools grant the Organizers the right to:
- Photograph participants
- Record video footage
- Conduct interviews
- Capture project demonstrations
- Use participant names, photographs, videos, and project information for promotional, educational, marketing, media, and reporting purposes
Such usage may occur without additional compensation or notice.
12. Intellectual Property
Participants retain ownership of their original project concepts and innovations.
However, participants grant the Organizers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to:
- Display submissions
- Publish project summaries
- Showcase photographs and videos
- Use project-related content for educational and promotional purposes
The Organizers shall not claim ownership of participant inventions solely through participation in the Challenge.
13. Awards and Recognition
- Eligibility verification
- Compliance with these Terms & Conditions
- Successful completion of competition requirements
Judges' decisions shall be final and binding. No correspondence regarding judging outcomes shall be entertained.
14. Data Protection and Privacy
The Organizers may collect and process participant information including:
- Name
- Age
- School details
- Contact information
- Academic information
- Project submissions
- Competition performance data
Such information shall be used solely for:
- Competition administration
- Communication
- Evaluation
- Certification
- Educational reporting
- Program improvement
Data shall be handled in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organizers shall not be liable for:
- Loss of profits
- Loss of data
- Loss of opportunities
- Travel disruptions
- Equipment damage
- Technical failures
- Personal injury resulting from participant negligence
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Participation is undertaken at the participant's own risk.
16. Force Majeure
- Natural disasters
- Pandemics
- Epidemics
- Government restrictions
- War
- Civil unrest
- Labor disputes
- Technical failures
- Venue unavailability
- Launch restrictions
- Weather conditions
17. Modification of Rules
The Organizers reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions, modify competition rules, adjust timelines, and introduce additional requirements. Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on official INACC communication channels. Continued participation shall constitute acceptance of such updates.
18. Disqualification
Participants may be disqualified for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Misconduct
- Academic dishonesty
- Safety violations
- Submission of false information
- Non-compliance with Organizer instructions
Disqualification decisions shall be final.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to participation in the Challenge shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
